Sustainable.The BBOT is Burnaby's pre-eminent business association for companies looking to promote themselves through quality networking opportunities and high-profile events and initiatives.I was responsible for organizing upwards of 40 events per year, including keynote speakers, roundtables, meetups, tradeshows and golf tournaments.From a strategic level, I helped members develop marketing programs that would take their involvement within the Board further. These included partnerships, volunteering in Board committees, sponsorships, exclusive member benefits, and affinity programs, among others.My specialty was in dealing and consulting with retail and hospitality members, particularly hotels, restaurants, and the numerous local brick and mortar busineses -- showing them how they can best leverage their BBOT membership by hosting in-house meetups and other events.

At Infosat's head office in Coquitlam, I managed external and internal marcomm needs for four regional offices across Canada and Houston, Texas.I managed company tradeshow booth logistics at events across North America. I also implemented Infosat's annual dealer/reseller conference.Through my experience with Adobe Suite, I created new product collateral and coordinated Infosat's first major website re-design via Joomla! and Dreamweaver.With my copywriting background, I also reviewed and edited RFP's from the US Department of Defense and the Government of Canada.

Managed front of house for a 60-seat establishment within a busy 100-room hotel in addition to coordinating room-service orders. Supervised up to 8 servers and 2 bartenders during peak dinner rushes and private events.Also worked part-time as a front desk clerk, assisting guests with check-in/check-out and arranging daily tours.

Started out as a line cook, but later shifted to server and bartender before taking on a supervisory role. Learned all aspects of front-of-house roles and responsibilities at one of Canada's largest mid-tier restaurant/sports bar chains. Managed scheduling and payroll for 18 serving staff.
