About Jt Trinidad

Hi, I’m JT, a filmmaker based in Cebu. I finished BA Film with highest honors (summa cum laude) and as the Class Valedictorian of my college.My shorts were screened and awarded at QCinema, SeaShorts, Ji.hlava, SGIFF, Jogja, NFFTY, Tampere, BFI and more. "the river that never ends" is currently streaming on The Criterion Collection.As a writer and photographer, I contributed to the Philippine Collegian. My film essays and reviews were published in Sine Liwanag, Sinegang.ph, Sinekultura, and Kino Punch. I received an Ani ng Dangal award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2024. My photographs were exhibited at Orange Project, UP Fine Arts Gallery, BenCab Museum, and ArtFair PH.I'm also an alumnus of ASEAN-ROK FLY 2024 Film Leaders Incubator Program, Mowelfund Film Institute, and New York-based film school Film Futura.
