Electronic EngineerSlac National Accelerator Laboratory May 2023 - PresentMenlo Park, Californie, États-UnisSLAC hosts the world's largest electron beam and serves as the most powerful X-ray machine for specific industries. I contribute to the development of X-ray cameras and detectors including testing, qualification and calibration. I also provide support to firmware developers working on the timing distribution system. SLAC collaborates on research and development projects supported by Stanford University. My role in the organization consist in:• Developing firmware to extract X-Ray cameras data through high-speed links.• Developing python scripts to analyze camera data for test, qualification and calibration.• Writing specifications, including test procedures for a Time-to-Digital Converter ASIC.• Designing Hardware and software for a Time-to-Digital Converter ASIC test setup (FPGA and python). • Developing a high-speed link analyzer/tester for multiple detectors/data rates… • Using Agile development with CI/CD to keep compatibility with existing systems while making improvements for the future.• Developing software, in Python, to analyze detector data for calibration in python using pipelines, NumPy, Pandas… -
FounderWetrail Oct 2023 - PresentWeTrail.app is a mobile application for outdoor enthusiasts, focusing on hiking and trail running. The app serves as a comprehensive platform for discovering, planning, and sharing trail adventures. Key features include detailed trail maps, route planning tools, and community sharing options, aimed at enriching the outdoor experience. Currently available on iPhone with an Android version under development, WeTrail.app aims to facilitate users in exploring and enjoying nature. My contributions include:• Setting up and designing the PostgreSQL database, including PostGIS and PGrouting extensions.• Populating the database with trail segments used by an automatic routing algorithm based on segment popularity.• Developing algorithms to manage users’ routes and enhance database content.• Integrating an automatic routing algorithm with an AI generative interface, leveraging ChatGPT to understand user preferences and generate trek or activity routes.• Building the back-end infrastructure for social networking and user interactions, integrating AI to analyze and classify user photos to tailor route suggestions.• Developing the back-end in Python, deployed on Kubernetes hosted on a dedicated OVH server.• Developing the iOS application and currently working on the Android version.Additionally, I have implemented features such as hazard reporting on maps, heatmap tiles generation, in-app route following, and safety contact functionalities. WeTrail.app was born from my passion for creating routes and outdoor activities. -
Co-FounderHopis.Co Oct 2021 - PresentLes Houches, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, FranceHopis.co is a platform designed to combine sports and charitable fundraising, enabling runners to support their chosen associations by collecting donations based on the kilometers they run. As the founder and developer of the web application, I:• Developed the web application back-end (Python, Flask, Pandas, RestAPI).• Designed and implemented a PostgreSQL database.• Specified the tool UI/UX and work with designer to get a template in Figma.• Developed front-end: HTML, CSS and JavaScript to go from a web template to a web application.• Communicate about the project and reach hundreds of non-profit organizations and thousands of people.Since its creation, Hopis.co helped non-profit organization raising about 100k euros. -
Electronic EngineerCern May 2017 - Jun 2022Région De Genève, SuisseCERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world's largest physics experiment, focusing on particle physics to understand the fundamental structure of the universe. I worked in the experiment support section, which collaborates with institutes globally distributed. I developed electronics cards for controlling various systems (such as power distribution, cooling, and board interoperability), FPGA firmware implementing high-speed protocols to communicate with radiation-hardened devices, and test benches for testing ASICs, custom hardware and lab instruments. My role in the organization consisted of:• Developed a versatile framework to simplify automatic tester development for different kinds of equipment, modules, or custom ASICs.• Test setup development: o Actively participated in the development of the test setup for a custom radiation-hard transceiver ASIC. I developed the FPGA firmware and all the Python drivers to communicate with the hardware (I2C, SPI, Custom modules…). I supported the team in charge of developing the test procedures, which used the previously described framework. o Developed an automatic tester based on Raspberry PI for two electronic cards designed and used at CERN, including specifications, firmware and software development. I re-used the common framework. This was used as proof of concept to validate the versatility of the framework.• Developed a standardized IPM Controller module for AdvancedTCA blades (IPMI), including specifications, hardware, firmware and software design (C code). I managed the project, device production, testing, distribution and support. The device is extensively used within the CERN experiments.• Design of a transceiver IP for Xilinx and Intel FPGAs allowing communication with a custom radiation tolerant ASIC. The IP includes scrambler and Reed-Solomon encoding modules to work at 2.56Gbps, 4.8Gbps or 5.12Gbps or 10.24Gbps depending on the configuration. -
