Responsible to launch a new manufacturing facility located in the Queretaro area, plant started from scratch with Italian funds, this new facility was planned to produce parts for 6 Assembly Plants for STELLANTIS located in Brazil-Pernambuco, Mexico-Toluca/Saltillo, USA-Detroit/Jefferson/Warren, and India.Duties included: follow up construction of the Plant (9,000 sq mts), manage transportation and installation of the equipment coming from Italy, participate in the interview process to hire the key members for the staff, lead APQP and PPAP processes to run production.Ensure the efficiency of the industrial site, monitor and relay the goals of senior management staff and assure the plant financial viability, ensure maintaining a favorable social climate among all plant levels, plan and propose the budget annual investment and industrial projects related to the plant, identify with the board of holders located in Italy and China the main levers of action to invest to optimize plant production.Establish KPIs to assure reliability of the Company and become competitive. Development of key suppliers for raw materials in North America (aluminum and steel).Establish a strict control of budget with the operational manager to assure not to exceed expenses. Expenses were reduced 20% in 2021.A strict protocol was established on 2020, 2021 and early 2022 to overcome the pandemic situation and reduction of sales with our customer, this protocol protected personnel and the production compliance.Implementation of basic tools of the WCM methodology to identify losses and prioritize projectsPursue training for key individuals of the plant to assure the problem-solving skills were efficient, this resulted in a scrap reduction rate from 1.2% to 0.12% of sales in Q3 and Q4 – 2021.Maintain an open and emphatic communication channel with the operational staff informing in daily basis relevant data related with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale.

Chief of the Engineering Department responsible for the homologation and validation process to meet NAFTA regulations in a carryover vehicle produced in the EMEA region to launch in a green field facility built in Saltillo to produce the commercial vehicle named ProMaster.Part of the extended team to build the brand new assembly plant, involved to select and install equipment for the Quality Lab and facilities for production in the whole plant.Administrate activities of 9 Resident Engineers in 8 different commodities (Body, Exteriors, Chassis, Interiors, Electrical, Powertrain, Wiring, and Engine Systems) to meet the FCA standards, manage quality spills when they arise on the daily operation, management of Engineering Changes, tracking warranty information to establish interim containment actions at the station and follow up permanent solution with the responsible parties (Engineering, Supplier, Manufacturing).Extensive communication with the Chrysler and FIAT Engineering departments to accelerate improvements needed at the Plant and establish best solution considering quality and cost.Frequent trips to the QEC (Quality Engineering Center) in Michigan to review claims of products reported from dealers to analyze root cause and establish corrective actions.

Responsible for current and advance products related to the Body In white commodity, including stamping details, hemming and subassemblies.In charge to address emerging issues affecting Chrysler facilities (interim containment / root cause analysis / Permanent implementation / Read AcrossFollow up PSO/PPAP for new parts involved with new projects and Engineering Changes.Managing 8 Supplier Quality Engineers to cover all stamping facilities located in Mexico.Extensive traveling among states to visit suppliers, trips to China, Korea and Japan to support construction of stamping dies for suppliers with conflicts to meet build schedule.Leader of special task called Magallanes Project conducted to identify potential suppliers in Mexico and Brazil to re-source components produced in China, a total of 15 suppliers in Brazil and 20 in Mexico were visited to rate their manufacturing level and submit recommendation.

Duties included: Report to top management status of program and establish plan to be at die shops to follow up construction of tools, extensive traveling to Japan, Canada and US.
