At Vineyard Vines, I have a diverse range of tasks that cater to the needs of our customers. I greet them at the entrance, inform them of the day's promotion, and assist them in choosing clothing. I give recommendations based on the best styles and the current trends. I also operate the register, which requires me to be familiar with our system. I scan the products that the customers are buying and process their payments. While working at the register, I am responsible for recording the hourly store income, the average dollar amount per purchase, and the average number of units sold per purchase. Another one of my responsibilities at Vineyard is to scan and process the incoming shipments. This involves checking that we have received all the items we ordered and that they are registered in our system as available for sale. After scanning the shipment, I unpack the boxes and either store the items in the backstock or display them on the sales floor if they are new arrivals. Another task I do at Vineyard is to process and package online orders from customers. I have to verify the orders on our website, print a receipt with the correct shipping address, and pack the items securely for delivery. When the store is not busy, I have several tasks to keep it in good condition. One of them is to fill and recover the sales floor, which means ensuring that each clothing item has two sizes available and displayed neatly. I also clean the store and uphold its formal appearance, as our products are high-end.
