As an ASSET*Americorps member hosted by Easter Seals of Central Texas, I assess, configure and recommend the use of assistive technologies to ARCIL,Inc. consumers who participate in the current introduction to personal computers trainings and job club trainings.

Processed Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Portable Document Format files to be readable by screen reading software used by people with sight impairments/blindness. As a user experience specialists websites were evaluated for accessibility to users with disabilities who used assistive technologies to access information on the web.

Volunteered my experience and time to promote the mission and work of this non-profit that serves the disability community of Greater Austin. Developed brand identity, established information infrastructures, managing equipment donations and general information dissemination about events and milestones achieved.

As a personal care attendant I assist people with disabilities in routine personal care and home management and on occasion as a professional administrative assistant at their work site with my office management and IT experience.

Liaison and mentor to consumers with disabilities to help acclimate to a job position during the stressful learning curb and provided guidance to employers as to how to address issues relating to the employees disability.
