    We created the main character’s rig and secondary assets. We developed the rigs for all the different shapes of the scarf, like hang glider, hook and shield among others.We also generated a complete rig for the scarf in order to humanize it and to be able to move freely with stretching systems, squash and general controls as well as individual controls to obtain the most elastic deformations possible.We designed a procedural animation system to generate waves in different axis. This system allowed us to emphasize the flying animations and it also assisted the animation department.

    We created all aspects of the characters’ rigs and developed a motion capture system. We prepared a working pipeline in which we looked into the mocap suit connection with the rigs in 3DS Max - Motion Builder and Neuron.As a result of this pipeline, the animator could use the rigs in real time when connected to the suit. Because the characters are completely different than bipeds, we had to investigate the methods to generate an animation that is similar to the movement of a human being.We developed a tool package to be able to manage the cleanness of key frames and baked animation. This will also enable us to completely animate without depending on the MoCap system. We also prepared the cache pipeline to transfer the animations to the engine of the Unreal video game. The rendering was done from the video game engine instead of the current rendering process from the 3D software.

We also provided technical support to the Animation departmentWe were involved in the pipeline development in an effort to improve all processes and communication within departments on a technical level, specially in the process of creating the characters including the set up of hair and cloth systems.
