It is a Telescope for observing gamma rays and it was launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) into Earth orbit in 2002. Mission life was 5 years but it is still in operation. In November 2016, after a comprehensive review of their current operational status and the likely scientific return, the ESA Science Programme Committee (SPC) decided to extend the operation from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2018.As projet manager main duty and responsability was to support projet Principal Investigator for the managerial task as: • study of the project feasibility• participation in funding research • instrument design including technical documentation edition• manufacturing tasks including industrial contract release and supervision• participation in the qualification test campaign• support the Product Assurance Manager in the Quality Assurance Program risk management • Ensure clear communication among all groups involved in the projectAll of them within the constraints of performances, schedule, cost and quality.

Technical manager under the supervision of University of Valencia project manager of the Coded Mask of the instrument Spectrometer (SPI). The spectrometer SPI is a coded mask telescope built by an international collaboration of research institutes under technical leadership of theCNES, the French Space Agency, with IRAP (CESR) Toulouse and MPE as PI-Institutes. CESR provided the Ge Camera, and coordinated the overall instrument assembly with CNES as main industry contractor. The MPE provided the anticoincidence system ('ACS') of SPI. The GACE Institute at the University of Valencia provided the coded mask, and CEA Saclay the electronics systems.
