These positions were held by Quan Zhou and Dr. Mario Rufer, respectively. For each of these chairs, I was involved in the planning and execution of the calendar of activities relating to their public scholarship; including talks, conferences, symposia, conversatorios, and other types of academic, cultural, and artistic events. More specifically, for Quan Zhou, we organized a number of talks, a visual art show opening, an experimental musical performance, among others. For Dr. Mario Rufer, we organized a number of talks and conferences, culminating in a two-day international symposium that brought together scholars from US, Mexico, Argentina, and others. The public scholarship calendar required involvement in both the academic and the logistical aspects of each event, and each event required its own unique timeline, budget, staffing requirements, and execution. Aside from the activities related to the named chairs, I supported many other events in various capacities: everything from uncorking wine to delivering introductory remarks. I must add that all of these activities for each event required coordination and cooperation with the rest of the staff at KJCC and other partner institutions. Show less
