Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese state-owned enterprise, world leader in the security sector, manufacturer, and supplier of video surveillance. In Hikvision Juan Carlos was the manager of the Latin-American website, in constant communication with the marketing department in the headquarters in Hangzhou, his main task was updating and translating the latest content (correcting grammar and spelling) every single day. The website was built with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and it has a strong connection with other platforms created by the company like sales (for distributors and points of sales), product marketing (for the portfolio of products in each country) and with the ICT department for the link to other Hikvision websites that support, teach and have online courses and webinars. For the YouTube channel, he took videos, edited, and made motion graphics while uploading and organizing them on the social media platform, and he was the coordinator of the transmission for live webinars. Because his extensive knowledge in graphic design Juan also supported graphic material for social media, print artworks, email marketing (EDM's) and internal communications.

His position as a graphic designer brought the responsibility of the design and layout of maps, inclusive of icons and infographics. Also, Juan Carlos was accountable for the implementation of strict colour references, the design of documents and the quality of the typography. He was also aware of the best typefaces, fonts, kerning and tracking in order to generate correct text hierarchy with the best legibility and appealing visual content.
