As part of Oracle North America Cloud & Technology pre-sales team my responsibilities as a technologist were to collaborate with customers to understand their business strategy, pain points and identify potential solutions. Mentoring these customers partnerships where accomplish via regularly occurring meetings to understand business issues/objectives and help align them with technical solutions. Furthermore, coordination of technical webinars, guided live labs, product proof-of-concept, product licensing and critical technical support issues escalation were an integral part of our day-to-day support to our Technology Sales Team

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Oracle Infrastructure ArchitectPerformed and documented a full Proof-Of-Concept (POC) including design, success criteria gathering and test implementation for TCEQ Oracle R12.0 -R12.1 EBS upgrade.

Oracle Applications Architect technical lead responsible for the design and managing both production and non-production implementations. These environments where spread across two Oracle Cloud Services Data Centers under a 48 server plus (3) full Exadata racks tenancy count. Our production topology included (6) private and (2) DMZ applications tiers serviced by a 4TB EBS R12.2.6/12C two node Oracle Cluster single instance configuration. No-production support environments including DR totaled (3) production mirror copies, (7) Database plus two application tier and, (9) Database single application tier environments. The system was architected to support (3100) production concurrent user count and at least (3) full on-going implementations per year. This architecture was accomplished through (4) EBS upgrades 12.0.5-12.2.6, (3) hardware server upgrades including Linux OS, and several SOA API’s on premise to hosting custom implementations. The ultimate result achieved was (49) Manufacturing plant production roll-outs in both US and International locations housing EBS Financials, iProcurement and Advance Supply Chain. In addition to EBS R12.2.6 we have also implemented Oracle Demantra (Forecasting), NOETIX EBS suite, SYNCHRO (Brazil accounting software), VERTEX and Virtual Trader Financials. Our production environment is currently operating in (11) languages including U.S English, French, Norwegian, Dutch, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Arabic

Applications DBA assigned to upgrade a clone production Applications instance from release 11.5.7 to 11.5.9. Duties include full step-by-step upgrade documentation. Detailed timing intervals and any other know preconditions that would assist their upgrade efforts in the near future.

Senior Lead in the design, implementation, and deployment of Oracle Financial E-Business Suite 11.5.10 on Real Application Cluster with ASM. Main responsibilities include (1) Support financial system through Life Cycle Management of the project environments, (2) Provide expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application performance, (3) Ongoing training and mentoring to Rackspace staff applications DBAs on Oracle 11i pre/post installations duties, database storage management, RAC configuration, backup/recovery policies and procedures, and enterprise monitoring for the entire ERP footprint.

Oracle Applications DBA within an 11.5.10 / 9i Linux HR/Advance Benefits RAC environment. Present duties include (1) Applications patching, cloning and instance management, (2) Overall system performance, Oracle SR resolution and troubleshooting and, (3) Backup and recovery procedures implementation and documentation.

Conduct a system wide analysis focusing on performance tuning and Oracle best practices. The existing environment consisted of an 11.5.9 Oracle Financials Application System running (AR, GL, INV, ONT, PO, and AP & CE). The deliverable also included (1) Standard Change Control policy and procedures, (2) Application Administration best practices (monitoring, patches and cloning), and (3) Recommended production operation levels for CPU, I/O, Memory and Network.

Oracle Applications DBA responsible for the installation, configuration and administration within Overtock’s CRM iSupport, Email Center and Teleservices Oracle 11.5.10 modules. Other duties include patching, upgrade and ERP integration capacity planning.

Primarily focus on the delivery of post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Responsibilities include: Assume leadership role in Technical Assistance Request (TAR) management; Perform situation management, implement root cause analysis for any escalations, and interface with Bug, Diagnosis and Escalation (BDE), Development and upper management as necessary; Manage customer expectations of Oracle Products and Services; Identify and seek solutions with customer management and executives for operational deficiencies in the customer organization; Maintain relationships with other parts of Oracle, such as Consulting, Education and the Support Sales Team; Provide leads and assists with selling additional products and services; Acts as a liaison to Development for major Quality Assurance activities.

Participated as an Applications DBA team member in Activant’s Oracle Financials production upgrade (release 11.5.8 to 11.5.9). Responsibilities range from design/planning through testing, implementation and go-live support. Activant Solutions is a full Linux Oracle 9iRAC environment serving over 500 concurrent users.

Applications DBA/Performance Architect responsible for the continued success of Hanover’s Oracle financials, HR, manufacturing and CRM implementation. Provided oracle applications resident expertise for Hanover IT and worked closely with Hanover’s Oracle Applications hosting company to ensure proper communication between production support and the hosting environment. Monitored daily performance activities and manage root cause analysis for production downtime events. Prepared recommendations to Senior Management regarding new tools, techniques and training that could be utilized to improve the performance of the applications environment. Interact with all levels of internal customers and business users to understand deliverables and modifications. Performed DBA duties including TAR resolution, patch evaluation, query performance and non-production instance patching. The Hanover Compressor Co. Oracle Applications LINUX architecture is currently comprised of 4 applications servers, 2 Discoverer servers, 2 CCM servers and 2 database servers under 11.5.8/9iRAC environment.

Lead Oracle Applications DBA for EGL’s domestic Oracle Financial/HR applications system project. Oracle financial modules AP, GL, FA, AR, PO, Web ADI, Oracle Advance Benefits, and iRecruitment were implemented. Performed a wide range of Apps DBA duties including 11i applications upgrade from release 5.7 to 5.8, cloning and managing refreshes for up to 15 instances, patching, application troubleshooting and performance tuning. Eagle Global Logistics Oracle applications SUN architecture is comprised of 2 application servers and a database server.

DBA/Performance Architect responsible for improving response time for both Oracle Advance Pricing and Oracle Configurator Applications modules in a state-of-the-art application environment for a leading manufacturer. Performed various diagnostics analysis (i.e. Query Explain Plans, patch level compliance) along with other health check activities regarding instance and hardware configuration. The engagement yielded a 30 percent improvement in Oracle’s Configurator launched response time and helped diminish the client’s complexity in its pricing rules/qualifiers directives.Participated as a team member in a Global Oracle Applications (Multi org, Multi currency, Euro) upgrade effort from Oracle 10.7 to 11i (11.5.5) for a major medical manufacturing company. Duties included maintenance, patching and troubleshooting for both the Test and R&D application environments. Instrumental in engineering and implementing interim migration scripts necessary for the conversion of customer data due to client customization complexities and considerable object architectural modifications between Oracle 10.7 and 11.5.5 versions. Performed root cause analysis and TAR resolution for major issues. Architectural Technical Lead responsible for design specifications, software layer recommendation and customization of an (EAI) Enterprise Integration Application effort. A message oriented hub & spoke framework was designed to integrate both Non-Oracle and Oracle applications ranging in release from 7.3.4 to 8.1.7. Implementation for the Proof-Of-Concept required the installation, configuration and implementation of Oracle Financials 11.5.4, Oracle 8.1.7 Release 3, Oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.1, Oracle Application Interconnect 4.1, Oracle OID and Oracle Workflow 2.6.

Headquarter DBA group team member responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading the Oracle software technology stack. Other responsibilities included database performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, hardware recommendation and Oracle product services and rollout delivery worldwide. Help desk point of contact for Oracle software problem identification and TAR resolution.

Lead System Analyst in charge for the design, code, implementation, testing and deployment for a corporate resource tracking system written in Fortran/C in a VAX/Digital environment. Move into the Rdb/DBA position maintaining project specific VAX/INTERGRAPH CAD design environment which ultimate change its repository into the Oracle technology stack. Major tasks included installation, maintenance and upgrade of the Oracle software under a SUN/OS environment. Plus design, development and implementation of the backup and recovery system for all Oracle instances.
