In 2020, he co-founded the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA), a pioneering 501c3 Non-Profit Organization dedicated to supporting Latinx professionals within veterinary medicine. Juancho’s professional interests are wide-ranging, encompassing soft tissue surgery, community medicine, client education and community outreach. The five-week intensive summer program will begin June 25, 2015 (with orientation) and end July 31, 2015. The program will accommodate up to ten students.Students will have the opportunity to obtain some veterinary experience through rotations at our Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Students are also provided resource materials for preparation of the GRE and study skills. Professionals will speak on opportunities within veterinary medicine and career opportunities. Students will be required to participate in labs and make presentations. All students are expected to complete the entire five weeks (Monday through Friday) and all components of the program. A minimum of six hours each day with four hours in the teaching hospital, and two hours a day for other program activities.
