My contribution includes selecting, hiring, training, mentoring, and managing 37 students over two semesters. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for STEM majors to learn about informal education in a museum setting and focuses on promoting STEM related careers to the Latin American community with the goal of encouraging those students to enter the education field and increase academic success. When I took over this task the program was just coming out of the 2020 shutdown and had just four volunteers. In half a year, I have almost quadrupled the number to 15 active volunteers and was able to recruit 40 volunteers for a one-day event in April. Show less
