ECOLISE is one of the key partners and I am the responsible to coordinate its activities and team. Among them we have the design and implemention of a Fund to subgrant to 100 transformative communities in 5 European countries, develop capacity building and advocacy work. The ECOLISE fund at FFF, is the beginning of the Regenerative Communities Fund, an strategic long term project aiming to channel funding to thousands of communities around Europe.The "Funding Fairer Futures" project unites a vibrant network of changemakers across Europe and the Global South, focusing on inclusive and gender-transformative climate justice. Targeting countries within the EU, Western Balkans, Turkey, and select countries in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands, the initiative aims to empower over 300 civil society organisations. These groups will engage in awareness-raising, capacity-building, advocacy, and campaigning, aiming to mobilise at least 2 million people to act for a sustainable and equitable future. Show less

Since leading this area I've been able to secure considerable core funding for the organisation and developed key trust… Show more In my role as Fundraiser Lead I work coordinating the fundraising efforts of ECOLISE. That includes increasing the fundraising capacity of the organisation, corrdinating a fundraising team, developing and implementating its fundraising strategy, scoping new strategic partnerships and funding opportunities, nurturing relationships with donors, and develop project applications. Since leading this area I've been able to secure considerable core funding for the organisation and developed key trust relationships with diverse donors. That has translated in a direct increase of ECOLISE's long-term financial resilience, meaning improvement in salaries and growth of the team, both key for the development of the organisation.One of the key areas that I have been exploring for years, and that I am now putting into service for this role, is bridging grasroot climate action movements and with Philantropy. This project has been collaboratively designed across borders and will map existing experiences of effective and systemic-change collaboration between local authorities and transition initiatives, worldwide. Launched in early 2017, the project will initially run until 2019.The main activities of the project are: Collating and assessing existing experiences, learnings and materials on how municipalities and transition initiatives are working together in creating healthier and more resilient communities. Co-designing an agreed framework and set of tools based on existing experience that can support the transition process at the municipal level.
