Juan E. Duque is a Project Manager & Business Developer at Électricité de France (EDF), and Fellow at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).Prior to joining EDF, Juan held multiple positions leading energy efficiency, energy management and low-carbon technology projects at HINICIO (Latin America and the Caribbean) and Soluciones Energéticas S.A.S (Colombia) as Energy Consultant, Blade Tech S.A.S (Colombia) as Director of Operations & Projects. Juan was part of the Clean Combustion Research Center (Saudi Arabia) as an energy engineer, and scientific researcher at the Reactive Flow Group (Colombia) and Sandia National Laboratories (U.S.A). He has accumulated eight years of experience working on techno analysis, climate change strategies, low-carbon fuels, and renewable and non-renewable energy. For his work, Juan has achieved multiple awards highlighting the strategic consulting training by JICA in Nagoya - Japan. Juan E. is currently an advisor to the Colombia Productiva and peer reviewer in Colombia Científica for the Colombian government and several journals (Q1).Juan E. holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in chemical engineering and energy systems from the National University of Colombia and postgraduate studies in Project Management from Pontificia Bolivariana University
