Associated job duties:-Has responsibility for Plant-wide purchasing activities.-Develops and implements new purchasing strategies per unique customer requirements.-Reviews and authorizes Terms and Conditions.-Defines and monitors key metrics, such as: PO placement, Unconfirm, Pushout-Cancel, Pull in, E&O, Inventory Projection, RTV/RTC, Receiving Discrepancy, Invoice Discrepancy.-Has responsibility for ensuring that materials supply equals demand, optimizing overall cost of Purchasing.-Ensures Operation’s execution to Jabil Supply Chain strategies.-Supports the development of Jabil Supply Chain strategies and systems.-Ensures that Materials Planners participate in determining MPS loading to create a realistic commitment that best supports customer needs. -Maintains a disciplined process to ensure materials availability to support production activities per the Master Production Schedule without creating materials liability for Jabil. -Disconnects between materials supply and requirements such as shortages, non-conformance, high stocks, and excess/obsolete materials are continuously monitored and eliminated. -Drives down overall cost of materials including component pricing, freight expenses, administration expenses, materials liability, and high stock.-Ensures that MPV is optimized. -Assures that component purchase price should be projected to accurately reflect the inventory value for the financial period in Standard Costing process. -Ensures that quoted cost to the customer is competitive yet maximizes the amount of favorable Materials Price Variance (MPV).-Ensures all purchase orders are placed with pricing and terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by Jabil Commodity Managers and Buyers.-Ensures that Operation’s supply base contributes to success of the Operation and that suppliers are selected based on overall cost effectiveness and their ability to meet Jabil’s requirements.-Keep Financial Health with business partners (suppliers).

I handled several projects such as medical (raw material and subcontracting), electronic, lighting, NPIs and reverse logistics program (repair).PO placement based on MPR signals, planned orders, customer approvals, due to inventory adjustments, high consumptions and End of Life products.Analyze MRP report to execute reschedule out, reschedule in and cancelations according to the demand in order to avoid excess.Work with engineering in order to process ECOs to identify changes in the product, find replacements, or develop totally new items.Develop new suppliers in order to have second resources to avoid any delay on material in case first supplier cannot support material.Fulfill different types of report according to the request of customer, COS, DOS, ROS in order to have a big picture of all the program and avoid any shortage.Fix receipt issues, like quantity discrepancy, price discrepancy, misidentified boxes, lack of material, in order to avoid any issue with payment to suppliers that causes credit hold and no shipments.Clear to built to anticipate any shortage.Review metrics weekly with the Manager, but work it daily, PO placement, confirm/unconfirm, past due and escalations.Review inventory levels daily in order to have the detail about any shortage.Present Inventory projection to upper management.Review waterfall report to find any discrepancy or change on demand, inventory, on orders, etc.Coordinate global purchasing activities (india and china).

I started as MRO buyer, purchasing all the indirect purchases of the plant. In this case Iworked with IT to implement a new system to place requirements and POs in a software to have more control of the spent, cost departmentwas involved and they also used the system to control the budget. After that I moved to MRP, I was focused only on place POs of the high value.

I worked as MRO buyer, I acquired experience several areas such as: Sourcing: request quotations, look for new suppliers and savings, negotiation of contracts and blanked POs. Purchases: Placing PO, follow up deliveries, account payable and account receivable. Customer service: Service to internal customers in the company.
