Juan Felipe leads climate action projects throughout Colombia and Latin America. He thoroughly understands the ins and outs of Colombia’s climate change institutional and policy frameworks. He has participated in projects defining concrete actions to reduce GHG emissions in Colombia at local, national, and regional levels. Juan Felipe participated in formulating the Colombian National Climate Finance Strategy and implementing the Colombian Climate Finance MRV. Juan Felipe has been closely involved with academia, teaching engineering courses at undergraduate and graduate levels at different universities in Colombia, where he has also had research and administrative roles. He formulated and applied an urban air quality management capabilities index as a tool for fostering a comprehensive air pollution control approach and prompting a multisector action. He holds an MSc and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
