Big Data and Artificial Intelligence are called to play a leading role in the fight against climate change and they will be critical for the sector to move towards an energy transition that allows us to improve social welfare worldwide and preserve the health of the planet.Since 2018, Repsol has been working on an ambitious Digital Transformation program that will allow us to transform the company for the future. As one of this digital transformation leaders my mission is:- Building and leading Repsol´s Data & Analytis HuB:At Repsol I have the privilege to lead an amazing team of more than 50 data scientists, data engineers and translators applying big data, machine learning and Artificial Intelligence to transform the energy sector.- Implementing Artificial Intelligence at big scale:The digital transformation of Repsol is Data driven, of the more than 150 initiatives launched almost 70% correspond to initiatives related to the use of data & analytics. Artificial Intelligence is now a cornerstone in the development of an overwhelming majority of the most relevant Digital Cases that are transforming the different business units.- Building Repsol´s Big Data & Artificial Intelligence Platform of the future, today:ARIA is a Data Platform capable of extracting data from transactional systems, sensors (IoT) or external data sources in order to centralize and facilitate data accessibility to everyone. In addition, Aria is being built in Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure) and It´s Data Gobernance capabilities will allow us to democratize data for all businesses and user profiles in a secure way. - Creating a Data Driven Culture that embrace the value of AI: Developing Analytical Skills into the organization, we are now working on building a Data School with re-skilling and up-skilling programs for Repsol employees

As one of the main leaders at the Digital Transformation team my mission was transforming Sanitas into a data-driven business.We applied big data, machine learning & artificial intelligence to enable Sanitas customers to live longer, healthier and happier lives.I lead the building of the first Public cloud Data Lake (Azure) with health information. Project awarded with the 2017 Bupa Awards to the most innovative project.I developed a Data based APP called Smile to help employees to monitor their health based on IoT and wearables information. Employees received a health score and personal recommendations based on their health habits.We applied natural language processing to clinical history records in order to extract symptoms, diseases and treatments. We built one of the first knowledge graphs based on real world evidence and was able to find some undiscovered relations between diseases that help us to sign important agreements with Research Institutions.
