I am Enhanced Oil Recovery Manager for Strategic Projects CHU. I have contributed to advancing innovative modular mobile EOR technology in YPF, which now accounts for 22% of the production in Manantiales Behr and offers a way to diversify oil supply and shift oil production from conventional production to a viable and profitably tertiary alternative. My concept of modular injection plants to lower the CAPEX of polymer projects has had a great impact across industry. We have conducted fundamental studies to increase injected polymer viscosity to secure the success of polymer sweep efficiency. This was a major differentiator with other designs in our country and around the world that in the name of cutting injection costs seriously compromised the success of oil recovery.Recently our paper about the polymer expansion in Grimbeek Field was selected by the JPT editorial committee and it was published in June JPT-SPE. My work focuses on modelling multiscale physics in porous media, its impact on identifying subsurface opportunities.Problems I investigate are motivated by uncertainty in the way we model the subsurface and the physical processes that are taking place at the different scales of modelling. I am also Lecturer at the Integrated Subsurface Master at UNCuyo.I have lived and worked in Scotland, France and Argentina.
