The economically weaker portions of our country have been struggling for years to find sources of local food within two-mile distances.We will provide access to local low-cost healthy grown food and other food options by building a network of local growers supported by a local hub operation. According to some of the latest studies, nearly 39 million Americans live in food deserts. Food deserts are heavily concentrated in southern states, which correlates with their concentration of poverty. There is a strong belief that the next review will reveal that the problem has increased across the United States, again, as a result of the pandemic and will be exaggerated by the latest inflation price pressure. Recently, we have been selected to be the rooftop farm on a three-story 105,000 sf mixed-use construction project within the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We will grow our food to be sold in the coop grocery store located on the ground floor of the building. The building is targeted to open in 2025. In the interim we will open a small operation in the same neighborhood to test marketing with the local Pittsburgh Community Kitchen and the limited number of neighborhood restaurants. -
