    • Managed a global team of eleven engineers (US & India) and created performance verification strategies for embedded electronics using prior knowledge obtained from testing embedded SW in the industry and combining it with Agile methodology and Systems Engineering principles.• Applied systems engineering skills to develop a HIL validation system (using National Instruments & DSpace tools) for various electronic modules under Body, Chassis & Interior domains for legacy projects as well as for the new architecture based on SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) focusing on Zone, and Edge electronic modules accommodated into twelve subsystems or domains featuring CAN FD, CAN HS, LIN and Ethernet serial communications & diagnostics.• Led cross functional issue investigations, facilitating quick resolutions to meet vehicle launch gates readiness, where developed plug-and-play applications with CANOE and Vehicle Spy to provide ready to debug solution for bench, vehicle & HIL testing.• Deployed automated subsystem testing enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of issue investigations.• Documented successful systems engineering methodologies and lessons learned for institutionalization across global teams.
  • Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
    Engineering Manager For Interior Mechatronics
Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Apr 2020 - May 2022
    London, England, Gb
    • Managed an engineering team of ten people overseeing the engineering aspects of seven electronic modules (ECU’s): Driver Alert Lighting for Autonomous vehicles, LED Interior lamps and Overhead consoles, Seat massage module, Ambient Lights, Memory & Folding Seat Modules.• Provided necessary direction to ensure engineering, financial & administrative duties meet the company goals.• Developed cross functional communication with EE SWAT teams (WL/WS plants) to understand issues and determine resolution actions.• Stablished a software delivery plan to ensure prompt resolution of issues for WL/WS programs and succeeded to fix 162(GIMS) by J1.• Built an electrical test bench controlled by a National Instruments Hardware in the Loop HILPXI tool, to automate the subsystem testing for electronic modules Software & Hardware verification that I created in 2019 during my previous role as Development Lead Engineer.
  • Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
    Development Lead Engineer
Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Feb 2018 - Mar 2020
    London, England, Gb
Lead team of twelve engineers and provided technical guidance for design of Interior electronics featuring Embedded Software, CAN, LIN, and Power electro mechanical applications , including a) Driver Alert Lighting Module for Autonomous vehicles, b) LED Interior lamps and Overhead consoles, c) Seat massage module, d) Ambient Light Control Module, and e) Vacuum Cleaner System.• Using systems thinking, created a method to systematically evaluate electronic modules (ECU’s) software functional performance & hardware core functionality in the form of a verification strategy for embedded electronics using prior knowledge from testing vehicle systems in the industry and combining it with Agile methods and Systems Engineering tactical processes. As a result of deploying this testing approach, reduced by 60% the appearance of problems during the ramp to production and avoided un-expected costly software re-flashes that in average costed FCA about $2 Million USD per ECU that required software re-flashes. My team holds a $0 dollar record of warranty expenditures for Interior Mechatronics thanks to the mentioned methodology above.• Conducted system level DFMEAs reviews to ensure supplier performed deep dive failure mode identification and stablished fail-safe mechanisms to ensure proper performance endurance.• Successfully pitched an idea to upper management for the creation of a Core Interior Lighting Subsystem Bench using a National Instruments PXI HIL system to automate the software verification process. Received financial approval and purchased equipment & parts.
  • Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
Advanced Senior Design And Release Engineer- Electronic Body Control Modules
Fca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Jun 2014 - Jan 2018
    London, England, Gb
    • Lead Design and Release activities for BCM’s used in Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Compass & Ram Pickups, which included sourcing, design reviews, DOORS Functional Specifications for Body Control Functions, Hardware Interfaces, Diagnostics, Launch support at the plants, etc.• Created strategy for software lifecycle management, identifying priority levels (lessons learned) with internal stakeholders (Systems, SW Factory, Suppliers, EE Validation, Vehicle Integration, and Software quality), to improve process as this team traditionally found issues during launch to J1.• Using my system engineering skills, improved the test methodology mentioned above by studying vehicle functional requirement issues vs launch issues using a DSM matrix and map the system level interactions affecting the BCM. Thus, ensure early development and validation of priority level 1 functionality to prevent further issues escaping into next model years. As a result of this, the MY18 & beyond launches had zero issues during J1.
