Watson Research Center in New York under the leadership of David McQueeney, IBM's Chief Technology Officer, who interviewed and hired him into a global leadership position in IBM Research Global University Programs. He worked for three years in IBM Research, engaging with hundreds of technical experts—including top scientists, VPs, Directors, and even IBM Fellows—developing innovative education and research programs with Ivy League universities (including but not limited to Harvard University and Columbia University).     I managed the Digital Credentials Program for the IBM Global Skills Initiative Program Director, responsible for all Training Enablement in IBM who reported directly to @Bob McDonald, VP of Client Experience (to whom I provided quarterly reports regularly). I led a global task force of experts in charge of all-matter credentials for IBM, including (HR employee professions, Business Partner incentives based on competencies, Client enablement recognitions, and external 3rd party education Platforms). Some key highlights were:- I spearheaded a series of design thinking strategy workshops with my team and internal and external stakeholders, identifying new operational efficiency, integration, and value improvement initiatives.- I built a 3-year credential strategy plan in collaboration with top technical enablement executives from all lines of business to increase revenue and accelerate our client's business agility.- Streamlined our portfolio of +3,000 credentials, eliminating over 40% redundancy.- Created a stakeholder board to align all parts of IBM business (Cloud, Security, Research, Data, and AI, etc.), streamlining program agenda and driving new strategic direction by moving from working in parallel with 300 recognition program leads to having a steering committee of only 20 key stakeholders, driving up value creation and business agility margins, all the while keeping increased program adoption, the program reached the 6 Million credentials issued mark during my tenure.- Established unique partnerships with market leaders complementing our strategy and amplifying our efforts, including Pearson, Credly, Prometric, TechData, Global Knowledge, Interskill, Coursera, EdX, and many more.

    As the IBM Research leader for university prorgrams - I had the honor to be interviewed by our Chief Innovation Officer David McQueeney, and then promoted from a regional role in IBM Dubai to a global role based in IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New York, Yorktown Heights, the most prestigious IBM Research location. There I had the opportunity of working closely with world known top scientists, Fellows, Directors, GMs, and VPs. The premise was simple, redesigning and reinventing our IBM flagship education programs to bring the best our company has to offer. To achieve that goal we listened to our communities, we partnered with hundreds of academic institutions across the United States (Ivy League schools, large Research Institutions, HBCUs and Community Colleges).I lead a team that developed a unique set of skill enablement offerings focused on Enterprise Digital Transformation leveraging Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to use technology solutions to solve real-world industry problems.I ran hundreds of workshops at different IBM locations and university campuses in the country, from Massachusetts to Florida, and California to North Carolina, working with Deans, Dept. Chairs, Professors, and TAs, with the single goal of bringing high-demand technical skills to non-technical audiences, addressing the existing talent gap, accelerating the rate of economic uplift needed for the betterment of society.
