I graduated from the University of Southampton with a Master of Science (MSc) in Space Systems Engineering. Throughout the course I had the opportunity to do individual and group projects, being the concurrent design of an operational Cubesat the most important. In this process, I was in charge of establishing the conceptual engineering of the On-Board Computer and Data Handling subsystem (OBDH) and the execution of the structural analysis for the Cubesat to survive the Vibro-acoustical environment of the launch using Multiphysics computer simulation. We finally created a complete Cubesat to measure UV radiation called HERO (High Energy Radiation Observatory) in a 2U sized structure.In my personal research project and dissertation, I completed the analysis of the future of space launch activities to create a new model based on the climate change approach to forecasting how populated can space get based on space exploration. I used the information gathered by the European Space Agency (ESA), The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to develop a future feasible scenario for the creation of the model, establishing a new method for forecasting space launchesI have completed several training courses in computer multiphysics simulation and, RF satellite communications and ground control segment (given by Surrey Space Centre). The content of these course has helped me in the enhancement of my technical knowledge and professional skills and in combination with my previous work experience have helped me to combine the theoretical knowledge with the applicable skills related to Engineering.I am a Lecturer for Universidad de Antioquia in the aerospace engineering faculty in subjects regarding orbital mechanics, space systems engineering, space debris and sustainability, and software development.
