• Investigated U-tube heat exchangers that were experiencing increased inner tube side corrosion. Calculated minimum thickness requirements for tubes and used historical data to predict future corrosion rates. Developed a plan to replace the bundles during the next major turnaround and implement methods of tracking and reducing future corrosion rates.• Completed a temporary management of change to temporarily seal a leak on an active pipe. My approach was determined from an Ultrasonic Thickness test that detected if the leak was caused by a single corrosion event or general thinning.• Worked with multiple vendors to add sample stations on two tower outlets before they merge to sample individual processes. Stations can be quickly tested on the field using a Draeger sample or sent to a lab for a more in-depth analysis through the use of a Bomb sample.

• Created a combination of short and long term solutions to bad acting pumps through the use of on-site observation, vibration analysis, and collaboration with different departments and vendors. The short-term recommendations prevented the pumps from failing as often while the long-term solution was being implemented to address the root cause.• Optimized a maintenance interval program to ensure that correct settings and maintenance are achieved by operators on both the pumps and compressors to extend the life of the machines. This predictive maintenance used an IntelaTrac program to relay the data collected on the field to the engineers.• Created new compressor repair packets containing only relevant data to specific repairs that were readily available on the field for maintenance. This prevented holds due to missing data, which expedites the compressor repair times.

• Discovered the root cause of frame scratches in the process line and implemented two solutions resulting in a 90% decrease in scratches on the frame. Both solutions utilized rapid prototyping methods, material selection and 3D modeling.• Implemented a new cable design on a critical car lift that experiences short circuits. This short-term implementation reduces maintenance by 4 minutes, saving ~$88,000 per each unplanned downtime event.• Designed 9 new tool designs that increase the efficiency and ergonomics of processes on the line. Each project required an approach that was dependent on listening to the line team’s concerns and creating a unique new design.
