As a student, I thought that I would bring back everything I’d learned in university and put it to use at my father’s company in Spain. But my career path has taken me places I never expected, and it began with IPS, a company with which I shared a set of strongly held values.Luc Tasiaux, the founder and then-CEO of IPS, afforded each of his employees with the trust they needed to pursue their individual interests. Much like today, IPS employees enjoyed the independence to open new lines of business and develop innovative new services for customers. Luc instilled a spirit of curiosity and entrepreneurship in each one of us, and he established a truly collegial atmosphere within the company. We were more of a community than a company, and we grew quite quickly as a result.I held many different positions at IPS before taking over my current post, first as a junior project manager right out of university, then as a senior, then at the helm of IPS Spain and as the founder of IPS’s African leg, IAPS. Over the years, IPS Spain has grown tenfold and Group-IPS has become a global organization; it has doubled in size over the last four years alone, and we intend doubling it again in the next four. We now employ exceptionally talented individuals across 25 locations around the world, providing tailored solutions to global companies across all industries, beginning with project management, engineering, and innovation. We’re currently entering a new phase marked by rapid growth and a new commitment to addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development goals. The companies with whom we partner have the ability to change the world for the better, and we hope to support those projects that offer the most promise of improving real people’s lives.Since I took over as CEO of Group-IPS in 2017, I’ve made it my mission to allow our entrepreneurs to advance our evolution as a company, driven by intrinsic purpose rather than external motivation. Two decades of experience have taught me that self-motivated individuals working together deliver world-class results. And Group-IPS is nothing if not a collective effort. With an unwavering focus on our customers and their needs, our diverse international team functions as a single, synchronised unit. And even though we continue to grow, we always manage to have fun in the process.
