Throughout my career at Intelygenz I've participated in te development of several kind of apps: from streaming music players to banking apps, and chat / VoIP apps. We've been evolving our architectures & patterns and our know-how on each development. We've been always gathering the knowledge from the latest best practices of the industry, while keeping our own vision. We've been applying Clean Architecture (Hexagonal / Ports & Adapters) for more than 6 years and a reactive pattern inspired by MVVM & Android LiveData for more than 4 years. In the last years we've been progressively applying reactive programming to keep the UI updated at the same time that we release the UI from this responsibility, moving the flow of control from the view to our Core (business logic). This has also let us to reduce the number of network calls and improve the UX.Although right now I have more experience on iOS, I could start developing for Android again if needed, refreshing my knowledge, because we are using the same architecture on iOS & Android and we are part of the same team. Moreover, we are exploring Kotlin Mobile Multiplatform right now to unify the native development around a common code base, while keeping the native UI and certain platform-specific components.
