In the Microbial Data Science Lab, we use genomics and bioinformatics approaches to understand the microbial world that surrounds us. We study diverse environments, going from simple communities in fermented food, up to complex and diverse microbial communities that are found in the urban environments.We combine the generation and analysis of large genomic datasets, with the development and implementation of novel bioinformatic tools and pipelines to analyze these datasets.
