  As an Analytical Research Assistant working for Amycel & Spawnmate, my main role is to develop and validate prediction models using statistical techniques such as Linear Regression. The prediction models are uploaded into NIR machines across 7 Monterey Mushrooms facilities in the US and Mexico. The facilities use the data provided by these models to validate or make changes to their mushroom growing process. Additionally, I oversee and train new on-site lab technicians in sample processing, WET Chemistry analysis, creating SOPs for new processes, creating and sending reports to customers and responding to questions regarding the data in the reports.Skills and Tools used in this position include- Programming Languages such as Javascript, NodeJS and Python- Database Management & Development: Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL and MySQL- SQL Triggers, Views, Joins, Schemas- Large Dataset Analysis- Visualization Tools: Oracle Analytics, Qlik Sense, Plotly- API Data Extraction to CSV or SQL DatabaseResponsibilities- Oversee on-site lab technicians analyzing WET Chemistry. Remotely oversee NIR Technicians across 7 Monterey Mushrooms facilities across the United States and Mexico. Checking if they are following the SOPs and if the prediction models in their NIR Machines are producing accurate values.- Develop NIR(Near Infrared Spectroscopy) prediction models.- Validate prediction models using WET Chemistry. Recalibrating models if necessary when facilities go through seasonal changes- Constant communication with Farm Managers, Growers and NIR Technicians from each facility- Data Manipulation: Process data from APIs into databases, data cleanup using SQL, correlate datasets from multiple sources
