The teams meet for eight minutes daily to perform self-checks on the progress of their priority goals.On templates of charts and tables mounted on the wall, they review performance factors like work quality, speed of service delivery, cost efficiency, people and safety. In addition, every person in each team must contribute at least one new idea per month.The aim, says Choe, is to promote a greater sense of employee engagement, accountability, empowerment, teamwork and innovation. Even the tea ladies participate!The success stories have been numerous. Choe explains that employees are now more vocal, and the working culture has become more open."
