As a lead facilitator of Interpeace - IPATs annual courses on Effective Advising, Jan loves to create a safe setting for deliberate professional learning and reflection on practice. The course offers a rich 5-day process for participants to explore: advisory roles, a range of inter-personal dimensions, applied systems thinking, navigating complexity, values, change paradigms and strategies, resistance and self-care and management. It combines carefully selected frameworks and models with peer-learning and ample time for looking at personal situations and cases as well as individual reflection. The course is consistently rated very high by (senior) participants from across the world and from a range of international and national organisations.

In response to the Covid-19 situation, in addition to the face-to-face versions (global and regional) we deliver an on-line version of the course on 'Effective Advising in Complex Settings'. Four successful editions have been done in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and on-line/hybrid versions are expected to continue into the coming years and can be tailored to specific groups or organisations. The on-line course stands out in creating a rich and nuanced learning experience in a well facilitated group setting.

This course uses carefully selected elements of the GLOBAL program (see above) to be delivered in an equally powerful regional version, with a majority of participants and a co-facilitator from the region and ample room for exchange of specific experiences.
