I’m an engineering consultant with experience in engineering, business operations and marketing. I have worked in transport, marketing ,business advisory and creative agency environments.I enjoy blending my technical and creative still to solve high value problems for clients. I have a balanced approach to stakeholder management and internal leadership. I have always loved entrepreneurship – where innovation and creativity take flight. I began my own businesses in my early twenties, including a start-up. furniture manufacturing outfit and a film and audio production business. I have developed this into a passion for digital marketing, a tool few start-ups can do without the digital age. I previously worked in a B2B marketing role in professional services where I lead the firm marketing strategy and projects, and prior to that in a tech company managing online branding and marketing, advertising, and mobile app growth campaigns. As a writer and creative, my key passion is storytelling through digital media and applying these to marketing a brand’s story that resonates with its audience. My approach to marketing leadership is to understand how a company can be more loyal to its customers through careful consideration of their core needs and translate that into a robust customer experience, and then feed the user experience back into product development. Serving others is a key value of mine which creates demand for what I do, and also helps others grow and succeed - be that serving the needs of my team or serving the needs of clients and customers. My marketing career has taught me a lot about creating true value by understanding the core needs of the customer, and also a lot about myself and that my passion lies not just in selling a product but also creating and improving them. Given my natural aptitude for numbers (i.e. analytics, programming and data crunching I use in marketing roles) and my love of science, choosing to study engineering presented a wonderful extension of my entrepreneurial vocation. Electrical/Electronic engineering levelled up my skill and understanding of technology products. provided a host of mathematical skills to tackle business and product development problems, and overall project management which is essential to any leadership role.
