Founded in 1859, we provide the Jewish and broader community with a wide-range of services including mental health counseling, community programming for teens, residential support for adults with disabilities, resettlement assistance for refugees, career counseling, chaplaincy care, integrated pediatric therapy, and so much more.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington supports social services in the DC area, deepens engagement in Jewish life, and works to strengthen the local and global Jewish community. As Director of Philanthropic Leadership, I lead our major gifts team and fundraising strategy for major donors, working to grow the organization’s annual campaign and endowment through unrestricted and planned gifts.

As a senior member of the Philanthropic Leadership major gifts team, I worked with major donors on annual campaign and endowment giving. I facilitated ongoing opportunities to deepen donor engagement, led several international donor trips, and directed our campaign to increase fundraising from partner agency board members.

I advised mission-driven companies and non-profits in the education, international development, technology, and social impact sectors on areas related to business development, fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning. My services included creating business plans, preparing investor pitches, analyzing industry trends, and writing grants. I worked closely with clients to design and deliver projects that advanced their mission.

Link Community Development (LCD) is a global non-profit that works to improve the quality of education for children in over 2,000 schools in Africa by improving school management, community engagement, and HIV/AIDS education. I founded the U.S. division of LCD, launching and overseeing U.S. fundraising, marketing, and partnership building efforts. I also created partnerships between U.S. and African schools to foster cross-cultural learning and global citizenship. For my work with LCD, I was awarded the Charles C. Stewart International Humanitarian Alumni Award, presented by the University of Illinois.

As founding USA Board Chair, I built the board of directors, created the organization’s business plan, and led the organization’s efforts to obtain 501C3 tax-exemption status.

Facing History and Ourselves is an international education organization whose mission is to engage students in an examination of racism, prejudice, anti-Semitism, and genocide in order to promote ethical citizenship amongst youth. In my role, I created and led a leadership program for outstanding high school students in the Chicago area, organized community events featuring world renowned changemakers, and assisted in planning the Annual Benefit Dinner which featured keynote speakers such as President Barack Obama (then U.S. Senator) and First Lady Michelle Obama.
