QA Lead on Data Centre Construction Projects in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

I am an Electrical Engineer working for Dowds Group.I am working on London Schools Project, this encompasses Dowds carrying out M&E installation services for Harris Federation on behalf of Farrans Construction.I am responsible for helping with all aspects of the job from the beginning of the various projects, going through the life cycle of each project up to and including Maintenance services on various Harris Fed Schools in London.My daily tasks are including but not limited to, on site management of H&S and support of Dowds Site Foremen, supporting my Senior Contracts Manager, procurement of specialist sub contractors such Lighting Packages, Fire Alarm and Security, Data and lighting protection.I am also responsible for compiling Dowds Job Specific Procurement Schedule, getting quotes in and procuring material for each site.I also have involvement with negotiating deals with Sub Contractors, I particularly enjoy this as it provides an interaction with other companies and shows me how the business world works in these important aspects in how to get a deal signed and delivered.All in all I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the job and hope to make good progression in my career with Dowds Group.

I am the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the Company, my role entails signing off and verifying on all installations that the company undertake.I also have a role as a project engineer, this entails looking after jobs from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed to the highest possible standard on time and within budgets. This includes ordering materials and doing final take off's and driving each project whilst ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.I enjoy each role and try to carry each out to the best of my ability.

I worked with N.I.E for 8 months through a recruitment agency. It was originally supposed to be for 3 months but I got 8 out of it.My duties were installing Electric Meters in Premises all over the North, from ordinary single phase house dwelling meters to 3 phase meters in an industrial setting. I thoroughly enjoyed this job, particularly the customer interaction each and every day.

I had the position of Test & Inspection Engineer with this company. We carried out Periodic Inspection & Testing on Street Lighting Apparatus, we also took part in and installed new Public Lighting Schemes for DRD.This job also included Testing, remedial repairs and a call out service for Northern Ireland Housing Executive. I enjoyed this job immensely and felt it gave me great experience in my career.
