I am responsible for the management of corporate income and indirect tax planning issues, including corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, negotiations with tax authorities and litigation as well as oversight of compliance-related matters. While at Tridel, I have dealt with the complex tax issues associated with the domestic and international operations of the Tridel Group as a public real estate and construction technology company as well as the restructuring to the transition of the group out of the public into the private sector, including international and cross border issues as well as those which are relevant to a large Canadian controlled owner-managed companies and their shareholders. I bring significant real estate experience to my role, which I have acquired during my time with Ernst & Whinney (a predecessor of KPMG LLP) in Manitoba and Ontario. I also hold a CPA, CA with bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Commerce from the University of Manitoba and have been practicing for 40 years.
