A VC backed company, we sold Localytics to Upland Software in 2020.

Cybersecurity, Mobile & Big Data: This global, nearly billion-dollar company produces cybersecurity software ~500M consumers. Their software technology has a loyal following in more than 40 countries. As an executive team member with Avast, I headed marketing, sales, product, engineering, and R&D teams to build great mobile solutions. From start-up to scale up to IPO, Avast debuted as the largest European technology IPO at the London Stock Exchange.

Mobile, Big Data & AI: Nuance Communications is a leader in technology voice-based systems (e.g., Alexa, Siri, and S-Voice). I/we led the Mobile and Consumer division and was an executive team member leading the OEM strategy and operations in APAC. I/we built out strategy for Asia and successfully brokered a licensing deals for large companies, like Apple, Samsung and others.

I/we was part of the team that negotiated the purchase of digital map maker Tele Atlas Company, a $3 billion acquisition, which created a B2B2C division for TomTom. I/we led the Mobile Consumer Group Division, licensing software and technology for location services. Our team built the innovative technology that opened the market for consumers to access location capability with their devices.

Working in several positions across multiple functions over a nearly 10-year period, I cut my teeth at PeopleSoft and Oracle. I learned how to deliver software projects; to sell, manage, report; and to understand the Fortune 500 market. I saw how various parts of the business interconnect to support each other, and I learned how to manage a business with precision. I ended my stint at Oracle as Managing Director responsible for Oracle Enterprise Applications in Financial Services P&L in New York City. In that position, I focused on aligning software technology with business strategy.

I was recruited from college to enter a two-year operational training, sales, and management program at Dartmouth Printing Company, a small printing and publishing business specializing in short-run publishing magazines. I trained in all aspects of company operations and management, and I developed a hands-on understanding of business functions. I became a value-based consultative salesperson and ultimately opened the New York City publishing market.
