Due to my disability, I found that painting and drawing became very therapeutic. I undertook a course at Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology in oil painting and now my passion for all things art has been reborn. I particularly love capturing landscapes and skies which are inspired by the countryside surrounding me.

I supported women and their families before, during and after childbirth. I was effectively an informed birth partner. I had the privilege of working with 9 families at their very different births. Unfortunately, I had to give up being a doula when I suffered spinal injuries.

I was a Contract Manager in the nuclear industry, specifically in waste management and decommissioning. I managed multi-million pound contracts, with the Ministry of Defence as my main customer.
