From our own experience and that of others, we'll tell you about wonderful markets and food treats to try, give you vocabulary and official requirements information you'll need if you plan to renovate or build new property, tell you about local forest fires - before/during and after the event, explain the pros and cons of importing and re-registering a car from another country vs. buying a vehicle in Portugal, what to grow on your land, networking groups and much, much more. I am working with an eminent American/Greek archaeologist, a specialist in Greaco-Roman marbles in British collections, on behalf of The British Museum. She's leading a team to research and trace the dispersed 18th C statuary collection of Lord Lansdowne, former U.K. prime minister and polymath. My role is mainly editing/rewriting entries for the massive catalogue - actually a hard cover book packed with illustrations and photos.
