Lead practitioner on the AHRC funded project, Women of Aktion, and associated education and research project. Winner of Delivering Research in Partnership Award.This project examines the end of the First World War in Germany and the German Revolution. Revolutions are often imagined as male spaces and yet, for a revolution to spread as quickly and as far as the Revolution of 1918/19 did, women must have been involved.This research wrote real revolutionary women into the historical accounts, public knowledge and commemorative activities surrounding the centenary of the end of the war in November 2018 in both the UK and Germany.As part of this, a new play, Women of Aktion, was developed with Bent Architect. The play toured in Britain and Germany in autumn 2018.In March 2018 an exhibition at the Peace Museum used this research to examine the end of the First World War. This included an education outreach programme and a touring exhibition.

Since 2014, I have created a range of participatory projects on behalf of the Peace Museum, for schools and communities, using history to explore non-violent responses to current world events. I currently deliver across Liverpool, Blackburn & Darwen, Burnley, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds & Sheffield.Through these projects, I have worked with over 10,000 young people and diverse communities across the North of England. The work has been independently evaluated by the University of Coventry and continues to grow in repute and reach.

Managing the set up, delivery and evaluation of the 'Choices' Project on behalf of The Peace Museum UK and key stakeholders.Key tasks to include:• Creating coherent and deliverable project and financial plans• Creating contracts and management strategies for education & community workers• Sourcing workshop deliverers, artists and key project partners involved in delivery• Creating monitoring evaluation materials, with reference to the NEF Prove It! model• Creating a new multi-media ‘Choices’ exhibition at Bradford Industrial Museum • Programming a range of social events for participants and stakeholders• Delivering a final evaluation of the project to stakeholders

Bent Architect Theatre Company is the brainchild of Mick Martin & Jude Wright. It exists to create fresh, engaging, entertaining work, telling stories that address the issues and underlying questions of being alive now in a way that is highly visual, verbally and physically poetic, surreal yet immediate, tragic but very funny. As a freelance producer, I manage a huge range of projects both on behalf of organisations and my own work. This varies from producing festivals to touring large scale performance work. The range of my experience in both venues and touring companies enables me to understand both the creative and logistical processes from all sides and enables me to manage and deliver high quality, successful projects upon which my professional reputation is built.During the course of this work, I can be responsible for teams ranging from a few people to 20+ and take overall responsibility for creative and financial targets on behalf of those who commission me.

Magna Carta on TrialMagna Carta on Trial was delivered in a partnership by Freedom Studios and Mind the Gap theatre companies. The project was located in Bradford, Yorkshire and and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots Programme.Key roles and responsibilities:• Leading the creative development of the project ensuring the project has a coherent focus• Delivering workshops, rehearsals and meetings throughout the project • Co-ordinating the input of the relevant partners to create a coherent, exciting and engaging Commemoration Event marking the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta• Creating a short film with young people about the Magna Carta• Oversee and coordinate freelancers and volunteers

Running an arts building in Leeds which included a theatre company specialising in work for children with special needs, a professional music recording studio and a community arts base.

Creating a programme of work for audiences and diverse communities which included arts programming, project development and implementation, writing and delivering a new programming strategy for the arts centre and founding a new dance festival.

Creating new work for and with young people. Devising and delivering an education programme for national tours, which included working with poets such as Blake Morrison and Simon Armitage, commissioning work and running workshops in prisons and youth offending institutes.
