The role encompassed end to end ownership of the ATM and Self-Serve banking channel leading a business unit of 45FTE and driving the full lifecycle of the channel including creating and implementing the strategy through effective management and fostering the creation of a high performing team.Key functions of the role include direct management responsibilities for the ATM business unit with over 45 FTE which includes:* Ownership of the project delivery team managing an annual capex investment of $50M across multiple programs of work* ATM and self-service device installations across branches and offsite locations including engagement and negotiation with brand owners * ATM and self-serve product development and product roadmap development* Development and execution of the self-serve strategy in support of the retail bank transformation program* Driving reductions in customer complaints and dissatisfaction* Branch staff training on how to optimise the use of in branch self-serve devices* Operational management of the channel including maintenance, servicing, vendor management, management of an opex expense base of $35M and ownership of the Operations help desk.

The role involved ownership of growing and maintaining the revenue stream generated via the ATM channel.Through targeted consultative selling I identified and implemented new revenue opportunities across the ATM channel including currency conversion at ATM, Wholesale ATM services to the tier two banks, foreign banks and NBFIs as well as Telco partnering services and management of the Global ATM Alliance.The role involved developing business opportunities from ground up, business case development to support the opportunity, influencing and selling the opportunity internally to the executive team and a close consultative selling approach with key institutional clients to close out the opportunity.

The Global ATM Alliance is composed of global international banks looking to leverage each other’s ATM networks to provide fee free ATM access to their cardholder when travelling overseas.My role as a board member involved representing Westpac’s position to other major international banks who also form part of the Global ATM Alliance and worked closely with the board to develop strategies to extend the reach of the alliance by developing and executing growth strategies to attract other international Banks to join the alliance where gaps existed in the alliance footprint.

I worked in partnership with Australian Payments Clearing Association and the other board members to develop a framework to establish rules in support of the ATM Direct Charge Regime. This created fewer barriers for new entrants seeking to set up ATM networks or to gain access to the existing domestic ATM network.

I worked as The Product Manager of Cards and Acquiring Services at Cardlink Services Limited. The Cards & Acquiring Portfolio included Internet Payment Gateway, IVR, operation assist authorisation services, merchant Fraud management services, Electronic Switching / Interchange, Manual Paper Processing including Credit vouchers and Moto forms. The role reported through to the GM of Sales and Services. Key elements of the role included developing products and services to support Cardlinks shareholders who were the major Australian Banks and drive industry collaboration in the merchant acquiring space via scalable transaction processing services.

Working in the role of Product manager switching and networks for First Data International across Australia , New Zealand and South East Asia .The role involved owning the strategic direction of the product set, price setting, new product development , product profitability ownership, Industry representation from both a regulatory and compliance standpoint and product marketing including ownership of major client bids structured towards providing tailored solutions to meet major client needs driven by direct relationship engagement and a consulting led approach to business development .The role reported through to the Vice President of Product and covered service offerings including Credit card and debit card switching , International cards processing, Debit card settlement & Interchange access, access services for new entrants to the payment streams, fraud detection and management, Direct Entry (BECS), Helpdesk Services, Bpay and Ancillary card processing services.

I worked as a Business Analyst within Commonwealth Banks Institutional Banking division. As a Business Analyst I was directly responsible for managing the Payables and Electronic Channels product sets. The role involved; establishing pricing frameworks which maximised product utilisation and profitability such as bundling, competitor benchmarking, new product development and design, developing and executing product marketing plans, working with sales teams on strategic client bids to deliver customised working capital management solutions as well as reporting and tracking product performance.

Worked as a Solutions Consultant within Telstra Retail Customer Care division. As a Solutions Consultant my role involved relationship managing large customers such as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu to ensure effective customer and company interactions.
