I am the author of In Praise of Blood, a book exposing the crimes committed during the Rwandan genocide by Paul Kagame's armed forces.I've collaborated with the Globe and Mail's Africa correspondent Geoffrey York to investigate the killings of Canadian priests in Rwanda in the late 1990s, and expose a murder-for-hire operation by the Rwandan government targeting Rwandan dissidents abroad.Over the last several years I've written for AFP, Reuters, Le Monde Diplomatique, Foreign Policy Journal, Digital Journal, The Africa Report, Humanosphere and Yahoo! Contributor Network. I have also done investigative research as a consultant for the CBC flagship program The Fifth Estate, and assisted CBC's Special Investigations Unit and The Globe and Mail in exposing the complexity of offshore tax havens.I am also a Country of Origin Information (COI) expert for Rwandan refugees, and provide assessments for the Rights in Exile Programme at www.refugeelegalaidinformation.org
