Now I am more mature I realize just how much I know and how valuable those skill are. I have been making big changes in my life. One changing from a jewelry business on Ebay to my own private website. As I make these changes I have to evaluate my skills and see which ones I choose to use, which ones I have a lot of proficiency in, and which ones it is just more expedient to hire done. I realize all this life experience carries over into my jewelry business. I have a deep caring for my customers, I evaluating Individually the kinds of jewelry my customers want to wear, advising them on what jewelry for what occasion, helping them put their personal ideas into reality. Helping my customer to know I care, am willing to design the jewelry they personally want to their tastes. I struggle right now between wanting to develop my own line for the consumer of costume jewelry and continuing to just design for each customer Individually.I have a background in Health Care Primarily Mental Health. I spent a great deal of my career working in a hospital setting, then in-home-care. I was intensely involved in my work and developing new therapies for people with mental/emotional problems. I loved doing what I did. I was in private practice for several years in Oregon concentrating on women and family therapy as women are the core of the family. I was one of the first to do women's treatment in Oregon. I believe that unless you treat the whole family no one gets well.Working with people that is what any business is about. Having a background in Mental Health gave me all kinds of people skills that translate into my new business. I do wonderful customer service. I communicate clearly and know my limits and can let others know them too. Mental health counselors demonstrate a concern for the short-term and long-term well-being of individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations. Counseling requires a great deal of intense and focused human interaction.
