I provide regular reporting to my colleagues on the University's funding, commercialisation and IP activities to measure our successes. The KE team offers all sizes of company the opportunity to develop their products or services through collaboration with our academic community.Relationship building is a key part of my role and I am in contact with internal and external stakeholders. Having spent years in marketing and account management roles, I appreciate that those who contact the University are hoping for prompt responses, efficiency, attention to detail and a human touch.I report on projects, funding and research/commercial income to the KE team to enable them to monitor success -v- target.🔴. - Many SMEs have benefitted from the Scottish Government's Innovation Voucher Scheme, enabling them to work with our academics and further develop their products or services.🔴. - I manage Dundee University Incubator which has 12 units designed for office or lab space. Consultant to French regional development agencies, I conducted desk-based research to provide French companies with market intelligence on their sector, identify potential UK agents, distributors or direct clients and ultimately secure them a sales route into the UK. Sectors included mechanical engineering (aeronautics, automotive), food and drink, manufacturing. As part of the marketing service I translated their websites etc into English and created marketing documents for the companies. I hosted a French Pavilion at Subcon each year (the UK's subcontracting exhibition).

Local sourcing account manager at ASDA. This gave local suppliers a route to a wider market through the stores in the North East of England. During my time I introduced many new suppliers and product lines to the stores (both food and non-food) and negotiated terms. I trebled turnover for the hub and this success was recognised with being awarded "most improved hub".

Marketing Manager at Crown Unit Trusts. I was in charge of marketing unit trusts for this insurance and investment company, part of the Crown Insurance Group of Canada. I successfully launched various new unit trusts, communicated with internal and external stakeholders and implemented the statutory reporting booklets required for all unit trusts.

Marketing Executive at Fidelity International. Based in the City of London office I was part of the marketing team promoting the range of unit trusts and offshore funds managed by this leading international investment management company headquartered in the USA. Initially part of the sales team to stockbrokers and insurance brokers, I ultimately worked with the Marketing Director and advertising agency to promote the range of unit trusts and to launch a series of new funds in collaboration with insurance partner Clerical Medical.
