-Gather content/information materials in all media formats as appropriate for the website and newsletters.-Take photographs and videos for both traditional and web based media.-Assist in research and development of reports-Knowledge Management: Establish and maintain a database for easy retrieval of photographs and videos. -Provide feedback on design and functionality of the website, social media channels, and other products.-Support update on the website, e-newsletters, and develop and send out approved content updates for social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter daily. -Assist in research, proposal and report writing.- Assist in training of 30 – 35 groups as decided by the Supervisor.

Kenya

I worked at the Communication Department as an intern and was responsible for the following activities.- Daily media review for the Controller of Budget perusal and approval.- Administration work, where I was involved in the following: Answering internal calls. Front office management; I was receiving visitors and directing them to the respective departments or persons and also assisted in client relations.- I was also involved in editing office documents and reports from the County and National government to ensure they are coherent documents.- Was also managing the external communication of the office by developing various communication materials including press releases, media invites, speeches, newsletters amongst others. - Coordinated the flow of information and communication as captured in relevant policies to enhance corporate image and personality of COB to various organizations outside the office.- Was also involved in organizing and managing events such as media breakfast and media training for other stakeholders- It was also my responsibility to ensure that the office website was up-to-date with new, relevant information. All these are done under the supervision of the Chief Manager, Communications.
