Judith is a visionary and is passionate about the work Providence Place does to eliminate the generational cycle of trauma through innovative services. When she became CEO in 2015, she knew the agency was destined to return it its roots without fully knowing what that meant. Two years later she approached the board with the vision of transitional housing for young women who were victims of human trafficking and intimate partner violence. My Mariposa Home opened three years later. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency expanded their vision to include young women aging out of foster care and in March of last year open Supervised Independent Living program. In January of 2021, the vision expanded yet again and the agency opened Oasis Home, an emergency shelter program for young people who are 18 years-old, aging out of foster care and who would otherwise be immediately homeless. Providence Place is one of the oldest adoption agencies in Texas and provides a variety of adoption services including infant adoption, foster homes, foster-to-adopt and straight adoption from foster care when parental rights have been terminated. The agency’s “Parenting with a Purpose” program is a collaborative community-based program serving over 4000 unduplicated people each year. The program provides parenting education and family strengthening services to families with children under the age of three.Judith has a BS and MS in Human Development and Family Studies and a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University. She is an advocate for children, youth and families without a voice. Judith is passionate about her work and strives to build programs that work to eliminate generational trauma through innovative services.

Responsible for the administration and supervision of the agency, all of its programs, direct-report and lower level employees and clients. Conduct operations consistent with the guidelines established by the Board of Directors.Assist in formulating and instituting goals, objectives and procedures to enhance Providence Place's reputation and maintain excellence in the Christian services provided. Assist in administering the approved annual budget.

Responsible for program development and administration of the agency's community programs, successfully expanding and diversifying programs and services throughout Northeast Louisiana, increasing the agency's budget over $2 million dollars.Apply innovative leadership practices and have successfully grown the agency into a respected 35-person division providing comprehensive services for children and families, persons with mental illness and the homeless.Experience at the affiliate and national levels creates a unique and multi-dimensional perspective and provides the opportunity to facilitate organizational and a social change in both the local and national arena.

Developed, implemented and administered the organization's community-based domestic violence services including the Mary Goss Center for Battered Women and Children, Center Point, and Raise the Roof transitional housing programs.

Recruited to tech child and family development courses to under graduate and graduate students at Northeast Louisiana University and charged with creating a learning environment where students could combine theory and application and expanding the department's community outreach activities throughout the region of northeast Louisiana.
