The Indigenous Glass Art Network, IGAN, is a global virtual network with the mission to support and encourage indigenous artists to express their creative vision in glass. The new, non-profit organization based in Seattle is a hub to connect artists and supporters, building a global community. The initial effort has been to create a web site which will serve as the backbone for IGAN. The role of IGAN is to:Act as a resource and a central source of information.Proactively seek ways to build a broad community that supports innovation, opportunity and success.Facilitate and support the process with the input, guidance and participation from artists, scholars, educators, curators, collectors, gallery owners, arts administrators (government) and others.
