Manage the strategic vision, budget, and activities to support the Boston Region MPO's Climate Resilience and Air Quality Programs that aim to increase the agency's consideration of climate change and air quality in its long-range planning processes.Co-led an initiative to improve the agency's communication on environmental topics with municipal stakeholders and regional advocacy groups through peer research, survey deployment, and in-person outreach and events.Operationalized the agency's climate resilience and clean air goals by identifying relevant datasets, coordinating and completing analyses of regional environmental trends, and visualizing findings in an interactive StoryMap using ArcGIS technology.Emphasized climate resilience in transportation project design by holding an interactive workshop to co-create environmental project criteria alongside regional stakeholders from municipalities, advocacy groups, and state agencies. Used qualitiative data analysis techniques and ArcGIS to process workshop results, develop working criteria deployed in the MPO's project prioritization process, and communicate revised criteria with project proponents through an interactive ArcGIS StoryMap.

Assist with Dr. Paul Sandifer's research on oceans and human health, and provide support to EJ Strong, a participatory project geared towards developing community-managed disaster risk reduction in several environmental justice communities in North Charleston, SC.Completed a participatory, interview-based graduate thesis on flooding concerns in underserved communities in North Charleston, SC.

Taught three Environmental Geology lab sections to undergraduates at the College of Charleston, focusing on topics such as earth materials, natural disasters, plate tectonics, coastal processes, and climate change.

Utilized a wide range of analytical tools including ArcGIS, SQL, R, Microsoft Excel, and catastrophe models in order to analyze impacts of natural disasters on residential structures of existing and potential insurance customers.Contributed to a resilience-based initiative to decrease policyholders’ exposure to natural hazards. This included social media posts about best practices for the home, modeling analyses to test different building characteristics, and communication to various stakeholders.

Assisted Professor Ouimet’s field research in geomorphology by using coring technology to extract sediment core samples from various rivers in Southern Connecticut. I then analyzed the extracted cores and constructed stratigraphic fence diagrams and other figures to portray localized depositional history and human impact on sedimentation in urban river systems. I presented my work at the UConn Geoscience Department’s research symposium in April 2017 and at the Northeast Geological Society of America Conference in Burlington, VT in March 2018. I compiled this research in an undergraduate thesis, and in the process read and integrated findings from multiple scientific journals as well as contributed my own analysis on the geomorphic development of my study area.

Contributed to various federal projects in the fields of wetlands management, soil conservation, pollinator species protection, contract management, and more. I worked both in the field and in the office, and utilized equipment such as digital cameras, GPS, and surveying technology to make recommendations to agency clients on how to best conserve natural resources. Completed several professional training workshops in order to further my ability to protect America's natural resources. Utilized computer programs such as Toolkit and ArcMap to assist with projects in natural resource management.
