Successfully led change by engaging with stakeholders to create a dynamic and relevant member association. Some achievements during my tenure included:• significant lift in ASA’s profile• more than doubled the number of active investors engaging with ASA• stabilised membership after years of declining numbers • introduced new categories of membership — family and joint • implemented a new integrated website and CRM • developed and launched ASA’s first online, interactive course • introduced digital marketing, webinars and videos• created a range of resources to assist those new to investing to start their journey• undertook the first market research for the organisation to inform future strategy and propelled first major research into retail investors• lifted conference and education revenue year on year• awarded a grant from Financial Literacy Australia (now called Ecstra) to run workshops across Australia to assist women 55+ to build confidence to participate in financial decision-making, confirming ASA’s credibility as an education provider for investors• founding member of the Alliance for a Fairer Retirement System which successfully opposed the proposed policy to abolish refundable franking credits.
