A well established reputation as innovator: We must think differently, innovatively, to improve. I hold patents, develop devices, innovate in education and processes and will share this knowledge to benefit Anaesthesia.3. My international activity: Many Anaesthetists found BREXIT very disheartening, but however you voted it’s certainly time that our speciality started looking beyond our borders. Now is not the time to be isolationist, to be defeated by BREXIT. British Anaesthesia has clinical excellence and a safety culture to be proud of, but we must improve further. Especially in straightened times, this is best done by looking outwards, sharing and learning. I have spent much of my career collaborating in education, research and innovation with African, US and Europe. They have much to teach us. I think we can benefit hugely by working with developing world partners. While exporting our brand of excellence, we will inevitably become better ourselves. Show less
