Data analyst for Quality Assurance for determination of behavioral health needs of juveniles on probation, in facilities, and transitional services. Researched, evaluated and analyzed behavioral health program successes (Multi-Systemic therapy, Functional Family Therapy) using statistics from data on juveniles on probation in New Mexico. Prepared data analysis on performance measures for CYFD. Statistical methods include survival analysis, logistic regression, as well as descriptive statistics. Data collection repository for 33 county DWI program screening and tracking data. Provided technical assistance to local DWI programs on screening and tracking data system. Member of task force for web-based screening and tracking implementation, provided expertise on variable additions to current screening and tracking system. Prepared manual for web-based screening and tracking system, contractor of web-based system on problems with web-based system. Provided feedback to counties on data missing from their databases for corrections. Data analyst for recidivism study of DWI offenders. Statistical methods included survival analysis (Cox Proportional Hazard Model, log rank tests of significance, analysis of variance (ANOVA), multivariate logistic regression. Prepared reports on all recidivism research.Primary author for an evaluation proposal to evaluate the 33 county DWI programs. Writing the proposal required knowledge of evaluation procedures such as process and outcome evaluation components. It also required writing goals and objectives of the project, and specific evaluation criteria. We did not get the evaluation project. Provided bill analysis for legislature on DWI and alcohol and substance abuse bills.

Research Coordinator for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Epidemiology Research Project. Conducted a nationwide survey of alcohol treatment centers to determine facilities and services available for Native American pregnant women. Designed questionnaire for probabilistic sample of alcohol treatment centers for Native American pregnant women, administered questionnaire nationwide, collected all data from questionnaire and analyzed data using descriptive statistics for reports and publications. Initiated site visits to prominent centers that had facilities and services specifically for Native American pregnant women. Organized all aspects of training for identification of FAS for tribes in Montana with the purpose to begin special diagnostic clinics with that tribe following training. Redesigned maternal questionnaire for cultural awareness to Native populations, for mothers of children with FAS for interview. Other duties included locating children and their biological mothers on both Navajo and Zuni reservations for participation in special diagnostic clinics for examination by dysmorphologist, and maternal interview. Examined IHS medical records to assist finding children for participation in clinics. Prepared Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant proposal.
