In this role, I was hired for my development skills to automate testing for the re-architecture of an ATG product for the cloud. Working with the development directors and team, I created and improved coding standards for the QA and development staff, supporting a QA testing mandate for new Java RESTful APIs. Additionally, I served as the coordinator and QA lead for multiple projects throughout the lifecycle, including publishing (a proprietary data replication application), clustering (multiple application servers), SSO, and integration with third-party toolsets. As a member of the data analytics team, I formulated test strategies and cases for the authentication of streaming data from Kafka to an Oracle multi-tenancy database.Key Contributions►Achieved at least 90% green on tests written.►Led automation testing of an administration application for a selective publishing feature. Collaborated to update technical documents, design/implement testing, and track changes, managing the project to completion in 6 weeks.►Ensured catalogs search operations post publishing, incorporating Endeca Java RESTful endpoints calls with appropriate search terms.►Enabled data verification during automation testing having implemented java RESTful APIs for retrieving and updating the ATG Nucleus Components (ATG open object framework).►Reduced the lines of code needed for testing, improved the legibility of test cases, and increased the test integration code coverage, replacing manual testing with automation suites.►Increased the teams’ velocity, reduced the number of bugs, and boosted the product quality, enabling the running of thousands of tests with each software check-in for an ecommerce product suite, while leading efforts to define and apply best practices.►Improved efficiency of the Jenkins build process, achieved faster test results after every check-in, and helped the pipeline run more smoothly.

In this role, I was tasked with designing and developing a JAVA-based API simulator for sending and receiving XML messages conforming to FinCen SWIFT Standard MX XML. Together with my re-architecture and extensions to SILK BDL scripts, I provided a full suite of tools for performance testing a new JAVA-based API and third-party settlement rules engine for the Omgeo Alert product.Key Contributions►Ensured the new API and updated web application met stringent timing requirements and quality goals for release.►Assured complete testing of all web pages and their functionality, developing SILK BDL “rules response simulator” to respond in real time to error messages generated during application testing, which supplied web pages with updated values for re-submission.►Reduced SILK script size 30%, re-architecting 10,000 lines of code, while implementing new features and web pages, significantly modifying design using sound refactoring, abstraction, and object-oriented principles, and creating libraries of reusable functions.►Enabled 24/7 testing for weeks at a time with multiple user profiles, seed values, and settlement sequences, leveraging run-to-run control pattern for the JAVA API simulator and SILK BDL “rules response simulator.”

Domain Expert and Software Developer: Serving as the team lead and primary developer for an extension to Capacity Planning modeling tools, I designed code according to Catalysis Methodology, wrote documentation, and implemented tests. Working on the process control and specification teams, I designed a business object and GUI layer in Smalltalk for a Microelectronics Manufacturing Science and Technology project (MMST). Our work served as the foundation for the reference architecture of the semiconductor industry via SematechRecipient of 3 Patents for the design of the Process Control and Specification Systems developed. The May 1994 issue of IEEE in Semiconductor Manufacturing was devoted to this project.
